RPG Update 03-21-06 to 05-01-06

Lets see here not much going on this week, as RPGing goes. Played in just one of the campaigns I was to particpate this past weekend. I had to work most of the weekend due to some circumstances beyond my control. Another 2.0 Ravenloft campaign, egpytian setting: fighting plains cats and exploring tombs!

WoW continues to be enjoyable!

This was added later-
Well shit it has been a while - Life way too busy - School, Work, Kids, Wife, and hobbies. Man will I enjoy my vacation that is coming up at the last of the month.

But speaking of Warcraft, it has taken an interesting turn. The Guild membership has almost doubled since conception, and that is a good thing. Currently still running newbies through the 20-35 instances, but in a few more weeks it should be upto at 40-50 instances. I cannot wait.

More later- Peace and Love!

Week of 3-16-06

Once again a month has passed, birthdays gone by, spring house project completed, and school is on Spring Break.

The next couple of months I will have to step life into high gear. I have another accelerated class starting that is only 8 weeks long. This is a new endeavors for me, and hopefully will be a positive experience.

My spring house project was my daughters' room. It was not a simple prime and paint job like first thought. It actually turned into a 4 day working experience of taping, mudding, priming, painting, and installing new shelves. Take a look at the photos!

The Feb/March birthdays were good, a little but tiring but a good overall experience!

Now for the WOW/RPG briefing:

My participation in 2nd Ed. and 3.0/3.5 has been somewhat down as a whole. My recent victories include: Kicking ass in the Sunless Citadel (3.5), Escaping Lord Soth's Ravenloft Realm(2nd Ed.), and curing a high-level curse of paranonia (2nd Ed.)! I think out of all of the games the Lord Soth campaign was the most fun. This was mostly because it involved a fair amount of role-playing and a healthy dash of combat, and the group operated as a team.

WoW is good as usually the Guild has blossomed into a fairly large grouping of 5-6 people (including self) with a broad range of classes/races. We still are playing the Alliance side, since most of the collective experience is on that side and 50% of the guild is new players makes thing harder to branch out and try new things.

I have been sampling the classes I have had little to no experience playing (Paladin and Druid), and I can say after experience I prefer the Paladin. For me it is a better mix of combat and support than the druid, and it seems to mix better with the guild as a whole. With me being the primary tank and back-up healer, we should be sittin pretty in a month.

I also have been trying out new professions (Tailoring, Enchanting, & Blacksmithing) BS was taken with my main in exchange for the bugged Engineering (still pissed off about that). Tailoring was interesting, but overall I failed to realize the usefulness unless you are a cloth wearer (this does make since), but the whole bag thing is handle by our guilds master Tailor/Enchanter. Enchanting to me is kind of fun (has cut into my farming profits) since the alt I am using is a farming alt. Gain a few more ranks and I will be setting pretty (plus I have the beastslaying enchant w00t!)

The only negative thing I can say at this point is bringing all the n00bs up to speed about tactics, max xp, roles, and general annoying behaviors. Let them die a few times and then they will see the light I say!

Till next time!!!!!
